Nikon Nikkor AF 180mm f/2.8 D IF-ED Lens

The AF NIKKOR 180mm f/2.8D IF-ED Lens from Nikon is a prime telephoto lens well-suited to portraiture, star photography and other telephoto applications. A fast maximum aperture of f/2.8 makes it useful for working in low-light situations, and with selective focus techniques. A 9-blade diaphragm helps to create smooth out of focus 'bokeh' areas. With a compact build and internal focusing system the lens remain a constant length during operation and is easy to hand hold.

A built-in collapsible lens hood deflects unwanted light, and the A/M switch makes changes between autofocus and manual focus easy. One extra low dispersion glass element works to reduce chromatic aberrations and provide high resolution and contrast, while Super Integrated Lens Coating minimises ghosting and flare. It is compatible with both FX and DX format DSLRs, with a 35mm focal length equivalence on DX format cameras of 270mm.
