With an immense field of view, the AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED lens from Nikon is designed for use with DX-format Nikon DSLR cameras, where it will allow you to capture striking landscapes or cramped interiors with ease. Featuring a wide focal length range equivalent to 18-36mm in 35mm terms and a constant f/4 maximum aperture, it is well-suited to working in low light conditions, with consistent exposure control throughout the zoom range.
The optical design includes two Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements and three aspherical elements to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations for sharp images with consistent colour. This is complimented by Super Integrated Coating (SIC) on the lens elements to improve light transmission and reduce flare and ghosting. A rounded 7-blade diaphragm produces smooth and natural out of focus 'bokeh' areas.
Autofocusing is done by the Silent Wave Motor (SWM) with Internal Focusing (IF) design, ensuring fast, precise, and quiet performance. Manual focus override is also available and enables immediate manual focus control, even in AF mode.
